About Northwoods Canine Connection, LLC

The site bills itself as "Northwest Wisconsin's Premier Canine Center" and gives its address as 2775

– 8th Ave, Chetek, WI 54728. Classes are described as "practical, effective, and affordable," with

the invitation to "Participate in an individual class or a combination of courses to experience a

rewarding relationship with your dog." The page frames the owner as the active ingredient: "You are

the key and our passion is to provide the tools and understanding to unlock the potential of a great

human/canine relationship."

How classes are delivered

Classes and workshops "are offered in different formats and at various locations," regularly at the

Chetek facility, with online courses "for those who are unable to attend in person, or prefer a self

paced structure." The page also says Jana "is occasionally available to travel if you wish to host a

class or workshop at your location," and pre-registration is required for all classes.

The class list, as published

Monday Night Meet Ups are a drop-in class – "Pop in periodically or come on a regular basis" – and

the page says the sessions run an hour and a half, covering "loose leash skills, manners and

greetings, spatial pressure, recall, our dog's engagement and being relevant to our dogs." The cost

is listed as $20. Life Skills is described as a "four week, six hour course" of hour-and-a-half

sessions combining hands-on work and discussion, listed at $90. People Training & Co-Existence

"focuses on training the human to help the dog at the end of the leash," also $90, and the page

notes "This class is available online." Basic Obedience, listed at $90, carries the prerequisite of

"Life Skills and/or People Training & Co-Existence class" and covers "sit, down, loose leash

walking, house manners (such as place bed,) and guest etiquette." Workshops run as "one or two part

sessions" and the page notes "No two workshops are identical."
