About Nutz About Mutz Behavior & Training Services
What they offer
Nutz About Mutz Behavior & Training Services is the practice of Jody Epstein, a board-certified applied animal behaviorist who serves the Antelope Valley and nearby areas in person and works with clients nationwide by Zoom. The practice focuses on fearful, reactive and anxious dogs and uses counter-conditioning, desensitization and positive reinforcement, with no choke chains, prong collars or electronic collars.
Services
A behavior consultation of 60 to 90 minutes, in person or by Zoom, covers the dog's history and ends with a customized plan and written follow-up. Day Training brings the trainer to the client's home, yard and neighborhood, so skills are taught where they matter and handed over to the owner. Packages cover behavior modification for fearful, reactive, anxious or aggressive dogs, skills and manners such as recall, leash walking and settling, a puppy start-right program, and a 12-week virtual separation anxiety program.
Background
The site lists an MS in animal behavior from Tufts and more than 19 years of professional experience, including work as a behavior manager at two humane societies.
