OC Paws Dog Training provides customized private training programs and small group classes from Edinger Avenue in Huntington Beach. Its trainers describe themselves as experienced and educated in animal behavior.

Programs

Every program starts with a Behavior Consultation and Training Plan, after which the trainer recommends a program. Proactive Puppy is for puppies from 10 weeks to 6 months and covers potty and crate training, chewing and mouthing, first behaviors and early socialization, and it pairs with a group puppy class. Beyond the Basics teaches sit, stay, down, off, place and loose-leash walking to dogs of any age. Problem to Pawsitive is a longer behavior modification program for dogs with problem behaviors, and a customized program covers two dogs from one household.

How it works

Programs include follow-up coaching lessons in which the trainer teaches both the owner and the dog.
