About One Paw Forward, Inc.

Positive-only training in Hialeah

One Paw Forward, Inc. is a dog training business serving Hialeah and the Miami area, led by Fabian, an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer. Its motto is "we use positive reinforcement only," and it focuses on giving owners the techniques and tools to handle chewing, nipping, biting, barking, jumping on visitors, leash pulling, aggression and housebreaking.

How training works

New clients get one free consultation to assess the dog and the owner's goals, followed by weekly one-hour sessions. Six sessions are meant to cover basic obedience, with extra classes at no additional charge up to eight sessions. The basic package covers sit, down, stay and wait, loose leash walking, housebreaking, crate training, behavior modification for barking, jumping or aggression, greeting visitors and nipping and chewing deterrence, plus a free follow-up visit one month after the sixth session. Board and train and boarding are also offered.

What owners say

Marie L. wrote that after training her 10-year-old German Shepherd mix's behavior "has improved a great deal," calling Fabian "professional, very knowledgeable, patient, and affordable."
