About Pals Dog Training
What they offer
Pals Dog Training offers in-home positive dog training in Littleton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree, with online training available beyond the south metro. Its focus areas are barking and reactivity, fear, anxiety and aggression, puppy behavior challenges, and therapy, skilled companion and service dog training.
Training options
Pet dog training covers skills such as leash walking, emergency recall, polite greetings and settling, for excitable puppies and anxious adult dogs alike. The therapy dog program prepares dogs to work in schools, dental offices, hospitals and behavioral health settings and guides owners toward therapy animal credentials. The service dog program focuses on advanced public access training for tasks from mobility support to emotional assistance. Owners can choose an instructional format where they are coached step by step, or a format where the trainer works the dog several times a week and then teaches the owner. A consultation starts every program.
About the trainer
The owner, Dominic, studied advanced animal behavior at the University of Arizona and became a full-time trainer in 2016. The site says he has trained over 1,000 dogs and worked with an ADI-accredited service dog organization, and his service and therapy dog clients include psychiatric, mobility and medical alert dogs.
