About Pams Pawsitive Training LLC
What it offers
Pam's Pawsitive Training publishes a class-led menu with a stated cap: "We offer various class types, including AKC Canine Good Citizen, Puppy Classes, and Stranger Danger. All classes are limited to five participants for individualized assistance." Every class is described as including "Positive Reinforcement Training Tecniques," "Canine Problem-Solving Techniques" and "Understanding Canine Behavior and Body Language," and both daytime and evening classes are listed. On pricing and length the site's own line reads: "All Classes are $16 and are 6 weeks, meeting once a week."
The class ladder
Puppy work is split by age. The "Group Class: Young Puppy (Under 6 Months)" is described as "carefully crafted to kickstart their training and socialization," with supervised playtime and basics such as "sit, stay, and leash walking." The "Group Class: Older Puppy (Over 6 Months)" continues that work and addresses "specific challenges such as leash manners and impulse control," with prior puppy class experience not required. From there the "Adult Dog Class" refines obedience for "dogs beyond their puppy stage," and the "Advanced Adult Class" – which does require the adult class first – adds distractions and "advanced socialization exercises."
Behavior and reactivity work
Two specialty classes sit outside the ladder. The "Confidence Building Class" is described as offering "a nurturing environment for dogs to overcome fears and develop self-assurance" through games, with no prior group class required. "Stranger Danger" is the reactivity class: it "teaches dogs to rely on their owners for guidance and to manage their reactions effectively," keeps class sizes small, and says "Each participant is provided with barriers to minimize dog-on-dog reactivity, creating a safe and controlled environment for learning." Alongside classes the site sells "In Person Behavior Consultation and Training," where "All sessions are customized based on your dog's needs using personalized, positive, science-based methods," and a virtual equivalent with "a Certified Behavior Consultant or Trainer … one on one." A further listing offers "Training to get your dog ready to be a Psychiatric Service or Emotional Support dog."
