About Patriot Pup
Who runs it
Patriot Pup gives its address as "5814 Calumet Ave. Manitowoc, WI 54220" and states on every page that it is "100% Veteran Owned and Operated," with "10% discount for Veterans on all products and services. Must provide proof of service." Training is presented under the heading "About the Trainer," which is written about Sam: the site says "For Sam, dogs have never been 'just a job'-it has always been a calling," that the approach focuses "on understanding the individual dog because no two dogs are alike," and that Sam is "Specializing in behavior modification and reactive dogs" and "has successfully rehabilitated numerous rescue dogs alongside well-respected rescue organizations, often working with dogs that others considered 'too difficult' or 'un-fixable.'"
Courses and what they cost
The course list is published with prices, session counts and caps. "Star Puppy" is $150 for a course of 6 weekly sessions with 10 pups max, "great for dogs up to 7 months of age," teaching "basic commands like 'sit', 'stay', and 'come'" along with loose leash walking, polite greetings, house training tips and chewing solutions, and framed as "a fantastic opportunity for socialization." "Basic Obedience" ($150, 6 weekly sessions) is for dogs 7 months and older and covers "sit, down, stay, recall, leash manners, place, impulse control, and polite greetings." "Advanced Obedience" ($150) requires basic obedience first. "Agility Work" ($150) "introduces dogs to obstacles, body awareness, and problem-solving." "Therapy Dog Suitability" is $175 and ends with "an evaluator from TDI (Therapy Dog International)" testing the team.
The reactive class
"Reactive Dog Training" is the outlier in both price and size: $300 for 6 weekly sessions, 5 pups max, "Designed for dogs who struggle with reactivity, fear, overexcitement, or big emotions around people, dogs, and everyday distractions." The published focus is "Engagement and focus with handlers," leash skills, impulse control, "Neutrality around distractions," confidence building and clear communication. The site is explicit about what the class is not: "Some dogs may not be dog friendly and that's ok! No dogs will do any meets or nose to nose greeting!"
Booking rules
Classes run on Saturdays, payment is due in full at sign-up, and "In order to pass any course only 1 missed class is allowed." A second missed class draws a credit toward re-enrollment "up to 50% of the cost of the course," and "Once a course has started no refunds will be issued." Boarding, daycare and grooming are sold alongside training.
