About Schertzer Training

Schertzer Training in Naples

Schertzer Training is a Naples dog training business serving Collier and Lee Counties, including Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Marco Island. Its trainers travel to clients for in-home sessions or meet at local training facilities, and a free consultation starts the process.

Philosophy

The company describes a science-based approach that prioritizes positive reinforcement, customized programs for each dog's needs and temperament, and owner education so results last. Its stated mission is to strengthen the bond between dogs and owners.

The trainers

Danny Schertzer started Schertzer Training after retiring from a career in fine dining restaurants. He began dog training in the 1990s in California as an instructor and Schutzhund competitor and has raised Rottweilers, Dobermann Pinschers, American Bulldogs, an XL American Bully and an Alaskan Malamute. His specialties are Schutzhund, protection dogs, powerful breeds, advanced obedience and competition training. Ted Moore, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, specializes in obedience training, behavior modification, working breeds and puppy development.
