About Pawsitive Academy Dog Training

Help for fearful and reactive dogs

Pawsitive Academy is a Fort Myers dog training business that specializes in fearful, anxious and reactive dogs and the people who love them. It cites over eight years of hands-on experience in canine behavior and uses force-free, positive reinforcement methods aimed at the root causes of fear and reactivity.

How it works

Training starts with an assessment of the dog's history, behavior and the owner's goals, followed by a step-by-step plan with hands-on coaching, demonstrations and homework. For fearful dogs, work focuses on confidence building and safe exposure at the dog's comfort level. It helps dogs that bark or lunge on walks, shut down in new situations, get nervous with guests or overreact to sounds.

Programs and prices

A single in-home private session, 60 minutes at home or in select outdoor areas, starts at $149 and includes a behavior assessment and action plan. The 6-Session Private Training Program starts at $849, with one in-home lesson a week, notes after each session and messaging support between lessons.
