About Pet Professors

Clicker training in Des Moines

Pet Professors is a Des Moines science-based, positive reinforcement training service. It was founded in 2010 when Tabetha, owner and Lead Pet Professor, started walking dogs and providing in-home pet care. Pet Professors teaches owners the why behind training so they can problem-solve any behavior, and it shows them how and when to use a clicker, paired with treats and other reinforcers, to communicate with their dogs.

Services

Private Tutoring gives one-on-one attention in the home or out in the community, with courses tailored to each dog and family; a trainer can work with the dog while the owner observes or is away. Boarding School is held in a home environment for dogs that get along with other dogs, whether the owner is traveling, wants to start a puppy off right or needs help with specific skills. Small Group Labs let 2-5 friends and their dogs learn basic manners together.
