The Beginner step

Arlington's Beginner course, for pups of 16 weeks up to six months, picks up where the puppy class stops. In Arlington, that course reinforces puppy-class behaviors, then layers on "wait," "leave it," a loose leash, tricks and games. Before that, the Puppy group, for 8-16-week-olds, covers house training and socialization; dogs aged six months or more continue to Fundamentals and Advanced.

Format

Group courses here are six weeks long with hour-long classes and a small group of dogs. Arlington's certified trainer also books 45-minute private sessions, including a first Private Lesson 101 for new customers.
