Westlake dog owners can train at Petco store 2404, 3201 Bee Caves Rd, Austin. Private instruction comes in 45-minute sessions with a certified trainer: a goal-setting Private Lesson 101 for first-timers, then four- or six-session packages built around a custom plan.

Group courses

Each dog trains alongside up to four other dogs in hour-long classes over six weeks. The Puppy course handles potty training, socialization and first cues; Beginner reinforces those for dogs up to 6 months; Fundamentals covers leave it, wait and curbing jumping and barking; Advanced works on heel, recall with distractions and mental games.
