Quincy's Petco, store 1814, trains dogs at 169 Parkingway in Quincy Center. The Quincy store opens for training at 9am Monday-Saturday, closing at 9pm, and at 10am on Sunday, closing at 8pm. Phone (617) 471-5973.

Quincy courses by age

Quincy puppies 8 to 16 weeks old learn the potty routine and get socialized properly. Quincy dogs aged 16 weeks to six months build on puppy lessons with tricks, "leave it" and a slack leash on walks. Older dogs take Fundamentals (sit, down, come and wait, plus fewer jumps and less barking) or Advanced, with heel and recall amid distractions. Each Quincy course runs six weeks.

Private lessons

Store 1814's private lessons are 45 minutes, booked flexibly, and open with Private Lesson 101 for new customers before owners buy four or six more at store 1814.
