About Planet Ruff

Training programs

Planet Ruff is Karrie Schwan's dog training business on Marriott Lane in Barnhart. Its Training Programs page describes one-on-one lessons with Karrie built on a series of simple games, with optional half-day jumpstart days or an overnight stay and train, followed by more distractions once the foundations are solid. The programs are results based: a dog that needs longer to reach its goals gets the extra time at no additional charge, support continues after completion, and programs start at $575.

Where and how

The home page lists four training locations: the Planet Ruff training center, clients' homes, public parks and dog-friendly stores. It also advertises Puppy Power group classes on Tuesday evenings and promises help with pulling, barking, jumping, recall and stressed or fearful dogs through positive, game-based training.
