About Pooch Patrol

Home boarding for rescue, senior and anxious pets

Pooch Patrol is a Portland home-based pet boarding and sitting business, based in Montavilla, that specializes in rescue, senior, disabled and anxious dogs. It is licensed, insured and bonded by Pet Sitters Associates, generally boards one dog at a time, and keeps an open, crate-free home with a fenced yard.

Training included with walks

During walks, the team teaches safety commands such as wait, cross, let's go, come on, leave it and keep walking, using positive reinforcement and force-free techniques with high-value treats. It welcomes pups with behavioral issues that owners believe are manageable with positive reinforcement.

Rates

Overnight boarding starts at $125 per 24 hours ($60 per additional dog), full-day boarding at $90, and doggy daycare at $75 for 4-8 hours. Cat drop-in visits start at $50 for 30 minutes.

What owners say

One client wrote that Pooch Patrol "even worked on basic training commands" during their dog's stay.
