About Pooch Positive Training LLC

What they do

Pooch Positive Training publishes a clear methods statement. Its own words: the business uses only positive reinforcement techniques and never aversive training methods; force-free training is based on scientifically proven principles of behavioral psychology, including operant and classical conditioning; and it does not shock, prong or choke dogs to get appropriate behavior, but rewards, praises, pets, plays and loves them.

Why they say they do it

The business states a purpose beyond training the individual dog: to reduce the number of dogs surrendered to shelters by teaching appropriate behaviors, improving communication between dogs and their people and strengthening the bond.
