About Positive Puppy Dog Training LLC

Fran Jewell's Hailey practice

Positive Puppy Dog Training is a Hailey business run by Fran Jewell, who comes to clients' homes and custom-designs a training program for each family and dog. Fran is a NADOI Certified instructor (#1096) and serves as President of NADOI, the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors. She is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator, founded Jewell Service Dogs in 2003 to train mobility, guide and hearing assistance dogs, and says she has trained dogs and people full time in the Wood River Valley for 25 years. Her experience covers nearly 7,000 dogs and venues from obedience, herding and tracking to search and rescue, detection and service work.

Method

Fran uses humane, positive methods and builds training around understanding each dog's "drive," which she says shapes the most effective approach for that dog.

Services

Services include in-home behavior and obedience training, immersion programs where the dog lives with Fran, companion dog help for seniors, privately trained service dogs, competition tracking and agility training, detection dogs for professionals, puppy and dog selection consulting and custom animal photography.
