About Pups with a Purpose
Relationship-centered training in Omaha
Pups with a Purpose serves the greater Omaha metro area as a relationship-centered, balanced training company that focuses on elevating behavior expectations. Its programs prepare people and their dogs for pet therapy, facility dog work, classroom settings and everyday life.
Services
The team calls itself therapy dog experts: its trainers make therapy visits with their own dogs and evaluate for a national therapy dog organization, and therapy dog training comes as private sessions or group classes. Puppy classes cover pups from 8 weeks to 12 months. Customized private training with a head trainer runs an hour to an hour and a half and covers reactivity, basic commands, kennel training and obedience. Structured Daycare groups dogs by size and play style and keeps up skills like recall, impulse control and the place command. A day training program is offered as well.
The team
Owner and head trainer Jessica holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, has been an Alliance of Therapy Dogs member since February 2019 and a Tester/Observer since July 2019, and is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
