About Quality K9 Concepts

What they do

Quality K9 Concepts is a working-dog business rather than a pet-obedience school, and its own site says so plainly: "PROFESSIONAL DETECTION DOG TRAINING, HANDLER EDUCATION, DETECTION SERVICES, AND BOARDING." Four things are on offer. Detection dog training is the core. Handler education runs under the name The Academy, which the site gives its own section – the training is aimed at the person working the dog as much as at the dog. Detection services can be hired directly, through a Hire a Detection Team route, for owners who need the capability rather than the dog. Boarding is offered alongside.

What to ask

Ask about program lengths, prices, prerequisites for entry to The Academy, and which disciplines the detection work covers.

Where they are

Its address is on Jessie James Pond Road in Wrens, in Jefferson County, about twenty miles down from the Augusta hub – a rural setting well outside the city, reachable from the southern side of the metro.
