About RF Dogs

Family-run training in North Miami

RF Dogs is a family-owned dog training and dog care business in North Miami, based out of the owners' home, where dogs in its care receive around-the-clock attention. Founder and head trainer Ricardo Felgueres began training dogs at 18 and spent 15 years breeding and training German Shepherds with the support of top veterinarians. He describes himself as certified in professional dog training and behavioral correction, with methods that prioritize clarity, consistency, structure and respect. The family business cites more than 40 years of combined experience in training, behavioral correction, breeding, rescue rehabilitation, daycare and boarding.

Approach and services

Training prepares dogs for home life, walks, visitors and travel through structure and routine, and works with a wide range of temperaments and goals. RF Dogs offers training, behavioral correction, daycare, boarding, rescue rehabilitation and protection dogs. Its spaces are outdoors with shaded turf play areas, and the team of four includes operations manager Emily Felgueres, who also takes in rescues and finds them homes.

What owners say

One client wrote that Ricardo helped their rescue go "from being scared and aggressive with other dogs, to being the friendliest with other dogs."
