One-on-one training

RUFF RUFF WOOF is a one-man operation run by Mike, covering Lakewood in North Little Rock. He prefers to teach one-on-one because every dog learns at a different speed, and he specializes in fearful or aggressive dogs that have had extreme trauma, while still working with all dogs. Every client gets an evaluation and a custom training program, whether the goal is a single behavior issue or a complete foundational skill set.

Services

Private sessions last 1.5 hours and cover foundation commands such as sit, down, heel, come, stay, leave it and off, on-lead and off-lead work, boundaries and communication. Board and Complete Basics Training covers the full foundation on lead, with a minimum of 2 weeks. Handler training teaches owners leash pressure, verbal and non-verbal cues and situational awareness. He also offers drop-in visits and house and pet sitting.

Method

Mike teaches balance training, which he describes as rewarding positive behaviors and giving consequences for negative ones, with "pressure, not pain". Texting or email is the best way to reach him.
