SGT Paws Academy is a San Antonio dog trainer run by Darnell Patterson, offering mobile, in-home and boarding training. Darnell started the business to keep dogs in their homes, focusing on the root cause of each behavior issue and training owners alongside their dogs.

Programs

Board and train runs in three tiers: Foundation (3-4 weeks) for basic obedience, leash skills and household manners; Development (4-5 weeks) for reliability around distractions, duration, distance and off-leash work; and Advanced (5-6 weeks) for precision, high-distraction training and off-leash control. Each includes a go-home session and post-program brush-up support. Private training is one-on-one in the client's home, at the facility or in real-world locations, covering obedience, leash skills, reactivity, puppy training, confidence, public manners and off-leash control. All breeds and ages are welcome.
