Sit n' Stay is one of the older training businesses in the metro and the only one here that structures its whole site around what the owner is dealing with rather than what the school sells.

The front door is a set of four paths: I have a puppy, I have a teen dog, I adopted a dog, I need better manners. The stated promise is helping puppies, newly adopted dogs and everyday family dogs build calmer habits, better manners and more harmony at home, without fear, force or frustration.

The Dog School

Under Dog School sit the in-person programs: group classes at published locations, private training packages, and a program called The Collar Code. A family and child stream runs alongside it, with Dogs and Storks and Dogs and Toddlers for households expecting or raising small children, a six-week Family Dog private program, a kids summer camp, and Reactive Rover for dogs that struggle in public. Walk and Train programs pair a walk with a training session.

Online and beyond

Dog School Online carries a Surviving Puppyhood course, RESET, Real World Manners, a Reactive Dog Roadmap and a behavior help membership. The company also runs pet first aid programs and trains people to become Pet Tech instructors.

Where it is

The about page states plainly that Sit n' Stay has one dog training location, in Orchard Park, though its walking and private-lesson coverage reaches most of Erie County because walkers are spread out by area. Kim left the corporate world in 2001 and turned pet sitting and dog training into the business.

Other locations

The Sit n' Stay name also appears in Buffalo and Hamburg on the same phone number. Those are the pet-services arm; Orchard Park is the training location.
