About Sit Show Dog Training & Resort

Training and resort in Tampa

Sit Show Dog Training and Resort is a Tampa dog training and boarding business owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Tony and Susann Milazzo. Tony, the training director, has trained and competed in IGP for more than a decade and qualified for four USA IGP World Championship teams with his Malinois. Susann, the boarding director, has competed in FCI obedience, rally obedience and agility and now competes in IGP.

Method

The team describes its training as fair and balanced, with clear communication, age-appropriate expectations and emotional balance before performance. Handlers are coached step by step so progress carries over at home.

Programs

Options include board and train, day training, private lessons and pick-up options, plus puppy classes, group classes and private coaching. Programs cover puppy training, obedience, behavior modification for reactivity and barrier issues, dog- and human-aggression cases, service dog training with public access manners, and IGP and protection sport. New clients get a free first private lesson. The facility has shaded areas and air-conditioned spaces, with small and large dog groups kept apart. Overnight boarding currently takes place in the owners' home, and grooming is available.

What owners say

Stephanie L. wrote that her reactive dog "stopped being so reactive and lunging and barking at people and animals."
