About Smart Dogs Training Academy Inc.

In-person and online training

Smart Dogs Training Academy offers in-person dog training in Portland, with a Portland line at 1-971-400-DOGS, alongside online coaching. It promotes "20+ years experience" and reports more than 20,000 dogs trained, with programs tailored to each dog, home and set of goals.

Programs

Obedience training builds useful on- and off-leash commands for everyday life. Puppy training lays the foundation for a well-mannered, confident dog, and a housebreaking program follows a potty-training protocol. Behavioral training addresses reactivity, aggression, anxiety and fear by looking for root causes. Board & Train ends with hands-on coaching so owners can reinforce what their dog learned, and dog bite prevention and safety training is offered for families and field service workers.

What owners say

A Portland client with a rescue pit mix wrote: "They understood our dog in 10 minutes — and built a plan that actually worked."
