Training, care and canine sports in Lewiston
Snake River Four Paws (SR4P) is a family-owned training, boarding and canine sports facility at 987 Tammany Creek Rd in Lewiston, founded in 2019. Owner and head trainer Cass brings more than 30 years of hands-on canine experience and has trained, owned, deployed and competed with nationally and state certified working K9s and titled sport dogs across detection, tracking, obedience and agility. The team includes trainers Jessica (AKC STAR Puppy and Canine Good Citizen courses), Char (agility foundations and scent work) and Chris (agility).
Training options
Programs run from puppy foundations to competition-level sport dogs, covering AKC Agility, AKC Rally, obedience and more, as private one-on-one sessions, dog-only drop and train, or intensive board and train "Boot Camp." The AKC STAR Puppy program ($300) is for puppies up to a year old and teaches sit, down, come, loose-leash walking, polite greetings and positive training techniques for owners. The AKC Canine Good Citizen program ($300) builds reliable obedience and manners in real-world settings, leading toward the advanced and urban CGC titles. The facility also has dock diving with lessons, pool rentals and hydrotherapy, scent work and agility teams, boarding and daycare.
What owners say
One client wrote, "I can now walk my dog rather than being towed around by him!!!" Another called SR4P "home to the most supportive and dedicated dog people you will meet in the area."
