About Southern Oak Kennels

What they offer

Southern Oak Kennels breeds, trains and hunts British Labrador retrievers, and lists its headquarters at 838 Co Rd 231 in Guntown. Alongside puppies, started and finished retrievers and stud service, its home page lists monthly gundog boarding and training, obedience and advanced gundog training seminars, and private gundog handling seminars. The training section says obedience and manners are crucial to its program, which runs from basic obedience to finished retriever work.

Who the training is for

The home page frames its training around the kennel's own Labradors: it says each location offers various levels of training for your SOK Labrador and that the kennel will connect you with a trainer and program. Owners of other dogs should ask directly whether they can enroll.

Background

The home page says Barton Ramsey founded the kennel in 2012 after a few years training Labradors and springer spaniels under a mentor. The About page describes the kennel as one business with several campuses and outposts across the country, run as one team.
