Speak Fido Dog Training is run by founder and trainer Megan Cavassa, who aims to build the human-canine bond through compassionate communication. Private training packages bring one-on-one lessons to the owner's home, or online for those outside the service area, with a tailored training plan, educational resources, and email and video review support between sessions.

Private training

Obedience instruction suits puppies and adult dogs working on sit and down, stay and impulse control, recall, leash walking, potty training, jumping, mouthing and nipping, nuisance barking, digging and chewing; most goals take three to six sessions. Behavior modification sessions are for more serious issues: fear, resource guarding, destructive behavior, unpredictable behavior on leash, fence reactivity and fence fighting, and reactivity or aggression toward people or other dogs. Cases of aggression with a bite history are taken on a case-by-case basis. Group classes in partnership with the local humane society are listed as coming soon.
