About Spot Dog Daycare

Spot Dog Daycare is a purpose-built facility on Third Avenue in the heart of Kips Bay and Gramercy, opened recently enough that its own reviews describe it as a new addition to the neighborhood.

Services

Five are published: daycare, the dog hotel (boarding), grooming, walking, and training, the last described as individualized. Booking runs through the company's own iOS and Android app, and there is an events and gift-card side to the business too.

Where training sits

Training is a listed service line with its own page rather than something a client has to ask about, but the material the facility publishes at length is about the space and the care model — natural light, purified air, no crating, staff who walk the dogs during the day. An owner looking for behavior modification should confirm what the training program actually covers before booking; an owner wanting basic work built around a daycare routine is the audience this facility is aimed at.

The care model

The reviews the business publishes emphasize the things that differentiate it from a warehouse daycare: dogs taken out for a walk rather than only kept inside, no crates, staff available to explain how the day went, and separate space for large and small dogs.
