About Spotted Snout
Spotted Snout is Meghan's practice, working across the Capital Region from a Westside Avenue address in Schenectady. She publishes two credentials – CPDT-certified dog trainer and CPCN canine nutritionist – and the business is built around that pairing.
Private training
Sessions are one hour, in the client's home, and include personalized instruction plus clear next steps against the owner's own goals. The published examples are house manners, polite greetings and leash walking. Group classes run alongside the private track, and the site says many clients blend video sessions with in-person visits to keep consistency.
Canine nutrition
The nutrition side is a separate bookable product rather than advice thrown in: a forty-five minute consultation reviewing the dog's current diet and identifying nutritional gaps or weak points. Very little of the Capital Region's training supply publishes nutrition as its own service.
Membership and the puppy hotline
Spotted Snout runs a membership with exclusive resources, and the piece of it worth naming is the Puppy Parent Hotline – the site describes it as having a professional in your back pocket, which is a support model rather than a course. There is also a Pups Plus One wedding service, covering transportation, ceremony assistance, photo opportunities and cocktail-hour walks for couples who want their dog at the wedding.
What to expect from a session
The site answers this directly in its FAQ: each session is personalized and practical, you leave with clear next steps, realistic strategies you can use immediately, and ongoing support to stay consistent.
