About Starr Dog Behavior
Behavior training in Dallas
Starr Dog Behavior is a Dallas dog training business run by trainer Joseph Starr from 3156 Modella Avenue. Its focus is understanding how dogs naturally think, learn and communicate, and coaching owners to be confident leaders while the dog settles into a calm, follower mindset. Joseph describes a simple method built around a dog's instinctual needs that balances positive reinforcement and discipline. He is a member of the IACP and has attended multiple training workshops. The business is insured and bonded.
Services
In-home sessions of one to two hours bring training to the client's home across Dallas and surrounding cities, from Addison and Carrollton to Frisco, Garland, Irving, Richardson and Wylie. One-hour private lessons take place at Joseph's central location. Board + Train moves a dog out of its usual environment to work on energy, focus and obedience, followed by practice sessions with the owner. A six-week puppy class addresses nipping, barking, house soiling, chewing and chasing, with calmness as the first priority. Virtual training costs $125 per hour, and group classes are also offered.
What owners say
One client wrote that their Bernedoodle's constant pulling "improved significantly" after two sessions.
