About Steller Dog Training

In-home behavior training in Fort Worth

Steller Dog Training is an in-home dog training business in Fort Worth serving the whole DFW area, run by Jordan Marsteller. He spent seven years as a U.S. Army Military Working Dog Handler, then, after being medically retired, became Manager of Operations and Lead Canine Behavior Specialist at Phoenix Dog Training, where he worked under behavior consultant Will Bangura. He is a Fear Free Certified Trainer and an AKC CGC Evaluator.

Method

Jordan describes his training as communication-based and science-backed: he looks for what drives a behavior, then builds a plan for the dog in its own home and neighborhood. He uses no shock collars, prong collars, choke chains, fear, pain or intimidation, on the view that suppressing a behavior fails to teach the dog what to do instead.

Programs

Behavior Rehabilitation handles aggression, reactivity, fear, anxiety and complex cases, and serious cases and bite histories are welcome. Real-World Obedience works on focus, recall, loose-leash walking and calm at the front door, trained at home, on the street and in the park. Puppy Foundations covers socialization, bite inhibition, crate skills and calm habits. It starts with a free call or text to (817) 217-8542, which Jordan answers himself, usually the same day.
