About Steve Good Dog – Dog Training in Connecticut

One-on-one training across Central Connecticut

Steve Good Dog is an in-home dog training business based in Southington, offering personal one-on-one training across Central Connecticut seven days a week. Steve describes a focus on understanding and trust, not dominance, and the business cites 10+ years training and 2,000+ dogs trained.

Services

Training covers aggression, potty training, leash reactivity, recall, behavioral correction, separation anxiety, service and therapy dog training, obedience and puppy training. Steve writes that he has extensive experience training service dogs for Marines with PTSD. Training usually happens at the owner's home, and for reactive and aggressive dogs Steve often meets somewhere neutral first. Owners get coaching and homework so progress continues after each visit.

Pricing

Every new client starts with a Starting Point visit, $250 for 1 hour 30 min, with training beginning in that same visit. Follow-up sessions are $210 for 1 hour, booked one at a time with no packages, and online sessions by video call are $145 for an hour. Service and therapy dog work is quoted individually.
