About Strong Bond Dog Training

What they offer

Strong Bond Dog Training works with families in Boulder, Niwot, Longmont, Prospect, Louisville, Superior, Lafayette and Broomfield. It helps with reactivity, pulling, greetings, boundaries, anxiety, confidence and off-leash reliability, and its programs page says it works with dogs of all breeds, including dogs struggling with aggression. It also offers psychiatric service dog training and therapy dog training.

How the programs work

Clients start with an in-depth, one-on-one assessment and customized homework, then choose a program. Its Pack Transformation program includes 6 in-person training sessions, a customized plan and lifetime access to online resources, and a second part adds another 6 sessions, an alumni group and virtual check-ins with the head trainer. The psychiatric service dog program adds in-person coaching and testing and practice in public places.

How they train

The home page says it never uses pinch collars, e-collars or punishment, and describes training through positive reinforcement and loving, firm course corrections. Sessions take place in real-world locations such as parks, bike paths, dog-friendly businesses or the client's home.
