About Strutt Your Mutt

What they offer

Strutt Your Mutt is a Grand Junction training business that helps dogs with behavioral challenges such as aggression, anxiety and reactivity. Its main program is an intensive board and train in which the dog stays at the facility: the trainers first build a foundation of trust and respect, then work directly on the behavior problems the owner is struggling with, and show the owner how to continue the work at home. The services page says the program also suits owners who have just brought home a new dog and want to start off well.

How they train

The home page describes a step-by-step approach that builds confidence, independence and socially appropriate decision-making, with play-based and adventure-based training at its core. Play and freedom are used as motivators to build engagement and lasting behavior change.
