About Tails ‘n Training

A one-stop dog shop in Rapid City

Tails 'n Training is a family-owned dog training, kenneling and grooming business at 5531 Mill Road in Rapid City, just off I-90. Owners Rebecca Almy, a groomer and ABC certified dog trainer, and Jeff Almy, kennel manager, run it with their staff, and it also offers self-serve wash stations. Rebecca has been a certified dog trainer since 2004, and trainer Chloe Norrick also holds ABC certification.

Classes

Group classes and private one-on-one lessons are available, with a training plan shaped around each dog. Published classes include Puppy Preschool for pups 8-18 weeks (three weeks, $75), Basic Obedience (six weeks, $140), Advanced Obedience (five weeks, $125), Basic Agility (four weeks, $100), Canine Good Citizen prep (four weeks, $100, with testing at $30), Stress Free Pet for dogs that need to calm down and pay attention (two weeks, $125) and Urban Rat Hunt, a scent class ($100).
