About The Calm K9

The Calm K9 in Altamonte Springs

The Calm K9 trains dogs from Little Wekiva Rd in Altamonte Springs and serves the wider Central Florida area, including Orlando, Lake Mary, Sanford, Winter Springs, Longwood and Oviedo. It specializes in dog aggression, which it calls one of the most complex dog behaviors, and its board and train program is built around aggressive dog rehabilitation. Programs also cover puppy training, German Shepherd training, off-leash training, and prong collar and e-collar training. Hours are 8AM-8PM.

Philosophy

The goal is a low-stress, calm, relaxed family dog that walks comfortably, plays in the yard and stays settled during barbecues, homework and everyday chores. The trainer contrasts this family-dog focus with working-dog goals such as agility or search and rescue. Calm behavior comes from leadership, structure, rules and guidance, along with an owner who is willing to put in the work.
