About The Canine Center
A 14-acre training center
The Canine Center is a dog training and behavior center in Austin, at 11400 290 West, and has been "training Austin dogs since 2002". Its 14 acres of natural Texas land hold 8 dedicated outdoor training fields, including a covered class field and four agility courses, over a mile of hiking trails and a wet weather creek. The center credits its team with a combined 75 years of experience and over 16,000 dogs and clients.
Method
Training is force free and reward-based, free from pain, intimidation and fear, and built on reward, praise, trust and balanced relationships. All trainers have a foundation in canine behavior.
Classes and programs
Group classes run from Puppy Primer and Puppy Basics through adult-dog training, Canine Good Citizen and shy, fearful or reactive dog classes. Canine sports include agility, rally, nosework, tracking, fieldwork, lure coursing and tricks. Private classes cover aggression, fear, separation anxiety, under-socialized dogs, disabled dogs and service dog training. There are also behavior modification programs, in-home and drop-off day training, daycare, youth summer camps, trips and a weekend Canine Camp.
The team
Owner Jane Del Re, CPDT-KA, is a trainer and behavioral consultant, and trainer Pam also holds the CPDT-KA.
