About The Good Dog Academy Day School and Learning Center
What they offer
The Good Dog Academy Day School and Learning Center is a Parker trainer at 10433 S Parker Road run by Jo Beth Lafleur. It uses positive reinforcement to build a training program that guides a dog through everyday situations and helps owners with behavior problems.
Approach
The academy calls its approach Empowered Choice: dogs are encouraged to make good choices in challenging situations, which the site says makes behaviors more consistent and long-lasting. It rejects dominance and being alpha, and says it never uses aversive tools such as shock or prong collars. Training aims for offered engagement, so the dog looks to the owner rather than competing for attention.
Getting started
Owners can book a free training strategy session through the site, or call or text the number on the contact page.
