Very upset regarding my dogs hair cut. I did request a more trimmed look because last time it wasnt cut short enough. We NEVER cut her ears because Papillon's hair takes FOREVER to grow back. I called the store and spoke to the manager who apologized but didn't even offer me a discount back considering I paid $50 for them to butcher my dog. If the price was more I should've been made aware prior to the cut. Unacceptable. Pictures of before & after..

If anyone is needing recommendations of somewhere to board your dogs or get them groomed, I highly recommend The Hound Playground.

My dogs stayed there while we were out of town for a wedding. They were amazing with the dogs. Their groomer was able to trim the dogs nails and one of my dogs never lets anyone his nails.

I was so nervous about boarding the dogs and the employees relieved all of my anxiety. We will definitely be using them in the future!

No appointment needed for a nail cut. I chose the DREMEL TOOL this time. They were able to get them so much closer without splitting the nail. I will have this method done from now on. Its only $10.00 per dog I have 4 Dachshunds.

I just had my first experience with The Hound Playground and am very disheartened. The weekend before I dropped my beloved fur baby off to stay while I was out of town I went as requested to fill out the paperwork and give them her shot records. This is the very first time that I have ever been without my pup for more than a day so I was very nervous. I got her all signed up and that following Wednesday had a friend drop her off so I could go. They began asking my friend questions when she was dropped off so she called me and I called them. Confirming that I provided them with everything they needed. I was recommended to them by another friend because they were more affordable. That should have been my first clue. $24/ day for boarding is cheap!! When I went to pick her up my bill was $185 and change. I asked what the extra charges were for and he got angry with me stating that she was in doggie daycare everyday and that is an additional $12/ day. Not I nor my paperwork asked for additional charges to be accepted. As I told him that, he told me that his staff has been there for years and would not have made such an oversight. He then told me that he would refund it but my dog could NEVER come back. Now that I of course evaluated my dog she has cuts scrapes on her nose, neck and ears. I don’t have kids! This is my child and I feel like after not seeing her for a week, I was the one robbed. Especially of my first moments of joy after not seeing her for 5 days😔
