About The House of Dog

Small-pack dog care in Duluth

The House of Dog is a Duluth daycare, boarding and training business run by Austin and Andrea on their homestead, where three resident dogs help create a small, welcoming pack. It offers board and train, transport and help with aggressive and problem dogs, and cites over 10 years of professional experience working and living with hundreds of dogs.

Daycare and boarding

Daycare runs Monday to Friday, with dogs playing off leash in their own dog park and resting in crates between play. Special needs, sensitive and elderly dogs can relax in the owners' home. Long term boarding has three overnight spots, mostly reserved for return customers, with dogs sleeping in a kennel room inside the home. The daily routine sets aside late morning for training clients and obedience work.

Philosophy

The owners keep dog numbers low so every dog gets attention, and aim to truly connect and bond with each dog. They also help dogs with kennel manners through an easy, fun transition.
