Reward-based training in Garland

The Joyful K9 is a Garland dog training business owned by lead trainer Christi Farley, CPDT-KA. She says her approach is grounded in current scientific research and ongoing education, and that reward-based training delivers the strongest long-term results. Working through challenging behavior with her own dogs gave her empathy for overwhelmed families, and her sessions lean on clear communication, confidence-building games and supportive routines.

Programs

Owners can choose trainer-led coaching through private lessons or trainer-driven results, where Christi trains the dog for them. Programs include a Puppy Board & Train, an Adult Board & Train and a Day Train, plus Puppy Kindergarten drop-off days for a calmer pup. Training covers puppy socialization and manners, focus and confidence for dogs of any age, barking at every little thing, and dog sports. Payment plans are available.
