Force-free training in Bend
The Kind Canine Pet Services is a dog training and behavior consulting business serving Bend, Redmond and the surrounding Central Oregon cities. It uses progressive, ethical and humane methods based on learning theory and positive reinforcement. Owner and head trainer Erica Pashia is a certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA, ABCDT, Fear Free Certified). The team also includes Eric Pashia, working professionally with dogs since 2020 with a focus on reactivity, aggression and resource guarding; Rachelle Hein, a certified veterinary technician since 2003 and certified trainer (ABCDT) since 2010; and Beth Dollar, who has trained professionally for over 20 years, over 13 of them in Bend.
Services
Private one-on-one training packages address reactivity, aggression, barking, digging, chewing, house soiling, resource guarding, jumping, over-excitement, recall and leash pulling, starting with a free consult. Virtual training coaches owners remotely, and training walks of 30 or 60 minutes are reserved for current private clients. Each client gets a written treatment plan with session summaries, homework and resources.
Puppy program
For puppies 8 weeks to 4 months, the puppy program includes 3 in-home private sessions, a step-by-step written plan and 2 small-group socialization classes capped at 6 puppies.
