About the Pawsitive Companion
TTouch-based training in Rockcreek
The Pawsitive Companion is the business of Dawn, a native Oregonian based in the Rockcreek area who founded it in 2003. She specializes in helping pets become calm, comfortable and confident, using positive, force-free and respectful training tools and techniques.
Background
Dawn's work is founded in the Tellington TTouch Training Method, which combines gentle body work to release fear and tension with groundwork to improve balance and confidence. She became a TTouch Practitioner in 2003, a Senior Practitioner in 2013, an Advanced Practitioner in 2017 and a TTouch Instructor in 2021. She is a member of the Pet Professional Guild and a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner.
Services
Private sessions take place in the client's home, usually for an hour, and help with leash pulling, barking, car rides, fear of the vet, groomer or loud noises, reactivity, separation anxiety and jumping on visitors. Sessions can also help a newly adopted pet settle in, support veterinary care for issues like arthritis or surgery recovery, or start a new puppy off well. Small group workshops of fifteen or fewer, seminars, demonstrations and Reiki treatments are also offered.
