Mother-daughter pet care in Miami

The Pawsitive Pet is a Miami dog training and pet care business run by mother and daughter Marcela and Maria Eugenia, with headquarters in South Miami. Marcela is a Certified Cognitive Emotional Dog Trainer, certified through Educan, and a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). She has volunteered with Miami-Dade Animal Services since 2017 and with rescues and rescue transportation since 2011.

Training

The Cognitive-Emotional training method teaches new skills and builds problem-solving ability using positive reinforcement. It puts emphasis on strengthening the bond between dog and family so they can enjoy each other's company with affection and respect. The team also offers guidance on choosing a pet.

Pet care

Maria Eugenia hosts short and long pet stays at the South Miami headquarters along with her dog Molly, makes drop-in visits and offers house sitting for homes with several animals. She has fostered and pet sat since 2010 and has experience with senior dogs, including medications and injections.
