The Ranch Dog Training is a dog training facility on Federal Avenue in West Los Angeles, founded by trainer Sam Hoke and run with a team of senior trainers. Every new client starts with a behavioral assessment, and trainers use it to place dogs in daycare, structured daycare or training.

Training options

In daycare training a trainer works individually with the dog during the day and sends a training report with videos. Board and train keeps the dog at the facility for daily lessons with exercise and socialization between sessions. One-hour private sessions are offered in person at the Ranch, with packages available, and virtual sessions are offered too.

Approach

The site describes a balanced approach to behavior modification with an emphasis on engagement and relationships. Daycare and boarding are also available, with playgroups chosen by trainers by temperament and play style.
