About The Simon Foundation Inc

About

The Simon Foundation Inc. is an animal rescue and adoption center at 120 Rescue Lane in Bloomfield, founded by Mark and Linda Greenberg. Alongside adoptions, it offers training and boarding, and all proceeds from these services go to the rescue of dogs and cats.

Training

The foundation's trainer uses positive reinforcement methods to build confidence, shape behavior and stimulate the minds of dogs and their owners. Classes meet in a 3,000 square foot training room and include puppy classes, adult basic obedience, intermediate and advanced obedience, introduction to agility and obstacles, and nosework. Private consultations cover one-on-one behavior modification for aggression and specific training issues. Classes depend on the trainer's availability, so call to see what is running.

Boarding

Dogs board in indoor/outdoor runs with radiant heated floors at a daily rate of $35 plus tax, and cats stay in double-sided condos. Dogs need proof of rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations.
