Petco Dog Training in Windsor offers classes inside the Petco pet store, led by trainers who focus on positive reinforcement and practical skills for everyday life. Adult dog training works on reinforcing good habits, leash manners, managing unwanted behaviors and helping dogs adjust to new environments.
Group classes
Six-week group courses cost $149 and meet for an hour with up to four other dogs. The Puppy level (8 to 16 weeks) covers potty training, socialization and foundational cues; Beginner (16 weeks to 6 months) adds loose-leash walking, leave it, wait and tricks; Fundamentals (6+ months) covers sit, down, come, wait and curbing jumping and barking; and Advanced (6+ months) works on heel, recall with distractions and polite greetings.
Private lessons
Private 45-minute sessions are taught by a certified trainer. New customers can book a $39 Private Lesson 101, and packages cost $249 for 4 sessions or $329 for 6, with flexible scheduling and a customized training plan.
