The Virtuous Dog offers private training for obedience, reactivity, aggression, fear, resource guarding, jumping, leash pulling, recall, and crate training. Additional services include behavior analysis, remote training and counseling, public speaking and education, and adoption support and matchmaking. Kelly specializes in fearful and aggressive dogs and in rehabilitating dogs rescued from abusive situations.

Approach

Training uses "science-based, positive reinforcement methods." The site is explicit: "We do not use fear, pain, or intimidation to train dogs."

Kelly holds the Certified Trainer Counselor (CTC) credential through the Academy for Dog Trainers and has 25 years of experience. Service is mobile/in-home across the Reading area and many surrounding Pennsylvania counties including Allentown, Lancaster, West Chester, Berks, Harrisburg, and the greater Philadelphia region.
