About Tom’s Dog Training

What they offer

Tom's Dog Training brings obedience and behavior training to clients' homes throughout Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Silver Spring, Potomac, Gaithersburg and Cabin John. Obedience lessons cover sit, stay, down, come when called and leash handling, with preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and a backyard agility option.

Behavior consulting

Behavior consulting addresses fearful dogs, phobias, resource guarding and excessive barking. The behaviors the trainer says he deals with most are multi-dog households where dogs are not getting along, leash-reactive dogs that bark, growl or lunge at other dogs, and separation anxiety. The goal is to teach owners to train their own dogs so the habits hold long after the lessons end.
